Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Bought 200 Hats in Archie's Name

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are already preparing Archie to be a future philanthropist. In honor of Archie's second birthday last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bought 200 hats in Archie's name from Make Give Live, a New Zealand social enterprise that knits garments for families in need.

Meghan and Harry's donation will allow the company, which works on a buy one, give one program, to donate 400 hats to those in need. The organization posted the news of their generous donation to their Instagram.

"Thank you Harry & Meghan, Duke & Duchess of Sussex, and of course, Archie for the generous donation of these 200 beanies to your friends on the other side of the world in NZ," the post read alongside photos of the knitted hats. The organization also revealed that these hats will be sent in care packs to refuges around New Zealand.

"It also meant alot for our maker community to have something special to bring them together to enjoy connection and creativity whilst making them, and didn't they do an incredible job!? Happy Birthday Archie🎈"

Last week, the Sussexes celebrated their son's birthday with any adorable never-before-seen sepia-tone photo of Archie holding balloons.

"We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor of Archie's birthday," the Sussexes wrote on their Archewell website. "Many of you donate to charities on his behalf, and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service — all through the goodness of your hearts. You raise funds for those who need it most, and continue to do so organically and selflessly. We remain incredibly grateful."
