Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have established their new lives in Los Angeles, but the pair is still planning to take a trip back to the United Kingdom come the holidays. According to Us Weekly, the couple will make the journey across the pond ahead of the Christmas season to spend time with the royal family. "There's a lot of tradition surrounding the holidays with his family, and they both have really loved that in the past," a source told the outlet. "With the uncertainty of COVID, they have been taking it one day at a time and are hopeful that they can all go back together and spend it as a family."

Since the COVID-19 pandemic still looms, the duo will take into account a self-isolation period after traveling—which would mean they would need to quarantine for two weeks before seeing the royal family. "Time will tell if that will need to happen and if it could potentially impact what they do and when, but they are all eager to get back to spend time with Harry's family and for Archie to see his great-grandmother [Queen Elizabeth II] and great-grandfather [Prince Philip] in particular," the source added.

Even though the couple now lives separately from royal family, they have been able to keep in touch. "They have so much fun over Zoom, and they have bonded through Zoom calls," the source added. "Harry is so close with his grandmother, and he is excited to get Archie back [to London] so that they can see her."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also kept busy on Zoom for their business ventures—most recently making their virtual primetime debut with a special guest, People reports. During the TIME 100 television special, their dog Pula made a quick appearance in the background while exploring their backyard. Their beloved canine completes their family and is a playmate for Archie—a source previously shared with the outlet that he "is best friends with his dogs, they make him laugh and are gentle with him."
