This evening, the Duchess of Sussex is supporting an organization with which she has been involved since long before she met Prince Harry. Meghan is attending the opening ceremony for the One Young World Summit, an international forum for youth leaders, at Royal Albert Hall in London.

The duchess previously served as a counselor for One Young World in 2014 in Dublin, and 2016 in Ottawa. Per the Sussex Royal Instagram account, "This evening she again joins world leaders and activists to celebrate the youth of today as they tackle some of the world’s greatest problems. She is proud to attend as Vice President of The Queens Commonwealth Trust and to continue her long-standing commitment to this very important summit."

Later this week, Meghan will also host a round table discussion about gender equality with several of the young leaders, but for today's events, she chose to wear a purple midi dress, a look which she paired with navy blue suede shoes.

Meghan's appearance comes just a few days after her most candid interview yet aired on ITV. She opened up not only about the royal tour of Africa, but also her relationship with Prince Harry, and her struggles with the press, and unfair coverage.

British broadcaster Tom Bradby asked Meghan about the impact the pressure from the media has had on her mental and physical health.

In her response, Meghan shared that this period of her life has been "really challenging":

"Look any woman especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn ... And especially as a woman, it's really, it's a lot. So, you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed. And also thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I'm okay, but it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

When Bradby more pointedly asks her if it has been a struggle, the duchess simply says "yes."
