Meghan Markle Wore a Gorgeous Black Dress to Misha Nonoo's Wedding

From Town & Country

Over the past few months, the Duchess of Sussex has stayed relatively out of the spotlight. Following the birth of her first child, Archie Harrison, in May, Meghan took a break from her duties for a roughly three-month-long maternity leave. But now, she's back at work, and back in the public eye.

Ahead of the royal tour of Africa, which starts next week, Meghan is in Italy for her close friend Misha Nonoo's wedding to oil heir Michael Hess.

The Duchess was photographed heading in to the venue this morning, wearing what appears to be a black dress, with a sheer top. Her hair was back in a loose up-do for the occasion, and she sported large gold earrings that appeared to be wing-shaped.

For his part, Harry wore a black suit, and while baby Archie is coming with them to South Africa, he was not spotted at today's nuptials.

Despite the fact that the Sussexes' visit to Cape Town officially kicks off on Monday, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Meghan wanted to be there for her friend on her wedding day.

Nonoo recently spoke out about her relationship with the Duchess, and how their friendship hasn't changed since Meghan joined the royal family.

“I’m sure people probably think, like, ‘Things must be so different!’ et cetera, et cetera. ‘That must affect her friendships!’ But all I can say is that from my perspective, she has not changed as a friend,” she told Caity Weaver at the New York Times.

“From when I first met her, to a text that I would send yesterday or today, nothing has ever changed. Nothing.”
