Meghan McCain asks if George and Kellyanne Conway's 'gross' feuding is their 'kink'
Meghan McCain has criticised Kellyanne Conway’s marriage, saying that she and her husband shouldn’t disagree in public.
Ms Conway is a counsellor to president Donald Trump and one of his most high-profile advisors, but her husband, George Conway III, an attorney, often publicly criticises the president.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ms McCain was asked what she thinks about the couple.
She told Cohen that she doesn’t think the couple should be disagreeing in public.
“I think it’s awful and I think that they have four kids that are going to read to this crap and I think it’s awful on both their parts,” she said.
“I think it’s weird. I don’t care if it is their kink or whatever, I just think it is awful, just horrible. Like, marriage anti-goals.”
Mr Cohen asked Ms McCain, who is married to conservative writer Ben Domenech, if she thinks the couple discuss their differing opinions at night.
“You have to,” McCain said. “Ben and I - my husband - we can’t not talk about the news,” she said.
“And if you’re working in the White House and somebody hates the president more than anything, how can you not? So, I think they’re both gross. Both of them.”
As Cohen attempted to move on to another topic of conversation, Ms McCain interrupted.
“Don’t call me or email me, Kellyanne - I don’t care,” she said. “She does that every time I say something. I’m not interested,” she said.
During her appearance on Mr Cohen’s show, she was asked who she will be voting for in the 2020 presidential election.
“I keep telling everyone, ‘I promise you will know who I’m voting for,’ but it really shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know there’s one man who has made pain in my life a living hell and another man who has literally shepherded me through the grief process,” she replied.
“This really shouldn’t be rocket science for people.”
Mr Trump previously criticised Ms McCain’s late father, John McCain, and publicly mocked him in 2016 for being a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
Ms McCain added that in comparison, the presumptive Democratic candidate, Mr Biden, is close to her parents and has helped her since Mr McCain passed away.
“They’re old, old friends,” she said. “Again, he’s just been so integral in my life, especially since my dad got sick.”
