Meghan Trainor's dad in stable condition after being hit by car: 'The strongest man I know'
Meghan Trainor's father is "in stable condition" after getting hit by a car, her representative, Luke Burland, confirmed Sunday to USA TODAY.
The singer, 26, shared a black-and-white throwback photo with Gary Trainor on Sunday, letting fans know she's "with my dad now." A photo on her Instagram story appears to show Meghan holding her father's hand from a hospital bed.
"Thank you for all your sweet messages," she wrote in an Instagram post. "It was all very scary but he is the strongest man I know."
Entertainment Tonight and TMZ report Gary was hit by a car Friday night in Los Angeles while crossing the street. USA TODAY has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for more information.
Fellow stars and fans alike flooded Trainor's post with well-wishes. "Yes he is!!!!" wrote music producer Ester Dean. Nicki Minaj, Trainor's "Nice to Meet Ya" collaborator, commented with a prayer emoji and a heart.
