Meijer has confirmed its Brimfield store will open July 9.

Meijer is offering free delivery on online purchases of $35 or more through Jan. 29.

The retailer says the special promotion that started this week applies to its stores in the Midwest, including northern Ohio locations, as a way to help folks who might be homebound or afraid to venture out amid the surge in COVID cases.

The deal applies to home delivery orders placed on the retailer's app or on its website.

There is one catch, the order must be for more than $35.

A personal shopper will be assigned in the store to fill the order that includes food items, personal care items and even alcohol.
