Melissa Gorga is sharing an exciting update on her family's new home build.

In a January 23 Instagram video, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member showed the in-progress exterior of the spacious house before moving inside to show the interior, which was in the midst of construction. "We working," she wrote in the caption. "Time for a change. LET’s do this!"

Melissa was jumping for joy in her video, and one of her castmates was equally excited about the update. In a comment on the post, Margaret Josephs wrote, "Can’t wait!!"

In July 2021, Melissa showed "day one of construction" at the home, writing in an Instagram caption, "This will [soon] be our new house!"

Melissa and her family officially said goodbye to their longtime Montville house in January 2021. "Feels like the end of era or something," she wrote at the time. "But I’m all about new beginnings so I’m very excited." The following month, she explained on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, “I’m in a rental house right now while we’re building a new home."

In the video above, Joe Gorga explained why they decided to build a house from the ground up. "[Melissa] said, 'I want a new house: white, new, modern,'" he shared. "We designed the way we wanted, exactly what Melissa wanted."

Although the interior is not quite ready for furniture and decor, Melissa teased her design inspiration in a December 2020 Instagram caption. "I'm gonna design my new house kinda like this outfit & my persona," she wrote. "Classy, with a little spicy mixed in."
