Two people were injured after the ceiling collapsed at a VFW post in Beavercreek Wednesday around 4 p.m. on Dayton-Xenia Road.

Six people, including a bartender were inside, when the ceiling collapsed.

One person was hit and was taken to Soin Medical Center along with another person. Both have been treated and released.

“I am so thankful nobody was injured or killed and nobody was injured no worse than it appears they were,” said Rex Turner, VFW post 8312 commander.

The City of Beavercreek has been in contact with the VFW and are now planning their next move.

The VFW posted on its social media that the building is closed until further notice and the spokesperson said it expects this to be the case for “a little while.”
