Members of the public joined first responders in stadium stair climb

First responders from up and down the Front Range took part in a stair climb at Weidner Field this morning to honor the victims of 9/11 and the more than 300 firefighters who lost their lives 21 years ago. Members of the public also joined those first responders in the stair climb. The stair climb was started as a reminder of the challenge facing the firefighters who ascended more than 2,000 steps to reach victims trapped in the twin towers. Participants were given a badge with a photo of a fallen firefighter from 9/1 so they can climb in that person's memory.
