Hard rock band Crazy Town was in Myrtle Beach over the weekend as part of a heavy metal tour, but it’s what happened off stage that grabbed headlines.

According to multiple media reports, frontman and founding member Shane Binzer didn’t appear until the very end of the April 23 gig at The Boathouse Bar and Grill, leaving co-vocalist Bobby Reeves to carry the concert.

Social media images posted by fans show Binzer and Reeves exchanging blows. Reeves reportedly said during the performance he was angry at Binzer — who performs as “Shifty Shellshock” — for being absent for much of the set.

Profanity ensued, and then blood was spilled.

“During the set, there’s video of Reeves forgetting lyrics to songs and periodically berating Shellshock for his absence,” Stereogum reported April 25. “Ultimately, after Shellshock turned up, the two singers started arguing and getting physical, with Shellshock accusing Reeves of stealing money and Reeves threatening members of Shellshock’s family.”

Boathouse management declined to comment when contacted by The Sun News April 25.

Crazy Town is best known for their 2001 smash “Butterfly,” which spent two weeks on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

TMZ posted footage of the brouhaha, which also appears as age-restricted content on YouTube.

Reeves later took to Instagram sporting sunglasses to cover a black eye. He said the altercation has already been forgotten.

“Me and Shifty got in a little scuffle, but it’s all good, we’re brothers,” Reeves said in a brief video. “Love y’all. Love you, Shifty, too.”
