Memorial Day 2023: Celebrations around Miami Valley

Several communities across the Miami Valley are having Memorial Day services.

The Dayton VA is having a ceremony at Dayton National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Volunteers put up 275 U.S. Flags on Friday to make sure the cemetery is decorated for Memorial Day.

Woodland Cemetery will host a Memorial Day Celebration in Dayton beginning at 10 a.m.

The City of Miamisburg will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony starting at 8:45 a.m. It will begin at Our Lady of Good Hope Cemetery at 8:45 a.m. with the parade at 11 a.m., according to the city’s website.

The City of Springfield holds its Memorial Day Parade at 9 a.m. starting at Veteran’s Park Amphitheater at the 200 block of Cliff Park Road. All participants are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the start time.

The City of Eaton’s Memorial Day Parade will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. It will be held by the Eaton VFW Post 8066 and American Legion Post 215, according to the city’s website. All participants are asked to line up at 9 a.m. between the Red Mule and the former armory building (Vine Street).

The City of Centerville is holding its Memorial Day Ceremony at 9 a.m. It will take place at Stubbs Park at the 200 block of West Spring Valley Road.

The City of Huber Heights will hold a Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony will at Thomas Cloud Park at the 4700 block of Brandt Pike. The event starts at 5 p.m.

The City of Beavercreek will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park at the 1900 block of North Fairfield Road.
