Memphis basketball score vs. Alabama: Live updates for Penny Hardaway's team

Memphis basketball will try to score back-to-back wins over top-15 teams when it travels to No. 4 Alabama.

The Tigers (8-2), who won their sixth straight game last week over then-No. 11 Auburn, defeated the Crimson Tide last season when they were ranked sixth in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. This time around, though, the game will be played at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, and the Crimson Tide (8-1) are fourth after a win over formerly top-ranked Houston.

Memphis will add one more player to the mix Tuesday, as transfer guard Damaria Franklin was ruled eligible by the NCAA on Monday. Franklin, a two-time transfer who sat out the first 10 games of the season, was an all-Horizon League performer at Illinois-Chicago last season. He averaged 17.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game at UIC.
