Memphis football announces spring game details: Here's what to know

Memphis football's Friday Night Stripes spring football game will be April 21 at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, the program announced Tuesday. Admission is free and additional details will be announced later.

The Tigers start practice on March 19, which kicks off coach Ryan Silverfield's fourth season with the program. Memphis is coming off a 7-6 season after winning the First Responder Bowl.

Memphis faced significant roster turnover this offseason by adding 15 Division I transfers after several seniors exhausted their eligibility and multiple key contributors transferred. The Tigers must replace all three starting wide receivers, their starting tight end, two starting linebackers and both starting safeties, among other positions.

Memphis also hired three new assistants in receivers coach Larry Smith, special teams coordinator Chris White and offensive line coach Jeff Myers.
