Memphis football score vs. Utah State: Live updates from First Responder Bowl
Memphis football has been to nine consecutive bowl games but the Tigers haven't won consecutive bowl games. They'll have that chance in the First Responder Bowl.
The Tigers (6-6) face Utah State (6-6) in Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas on Tuesday (2:15 p.m., ESPN). Memphis won the Montgomery Bowl in 2020 but did not play in last year's Hawaii Bowl, which was canceled because of Hawaii's COVID-19 issues.
Utah State won the LA Bowl last year and is looking for its second consecutive bowl win under coach Blake Anderson.
Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield, hecan join Tommy West as the only coaches in program history to win multiple bowl games. If the Tigers win, they'll have their ninth winning season in 10 years. A loss means Memphis will have its first losing season since 2013.
