SAN FRANCISCO - Ja Morant was brilliant in Game 3 and had another highlight with a half-court buzzer shot. But the Memphis Grizzlies All-Star's night was cut short with a potential injury Saturday.

Morant limped to the Memphis Grizzlies bench with 6:19 remaining. He then walked into the locker room under his own power while wearing a towel over his head. Morant did not return as the Grizzlies lost 142-112 at Chase Center

Replays showed Morant was trying to lunge for a loose ball and his knee was grabbed by Warriors' guard Jordan Poole. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins confirmed postgame that was the play that injured Morant and added he was being evaluated.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said postgame he "didn't notice the play" in question. However Morant re-tweeted a video of the play and said "broke the code", a reference to Kerr's comments about Dillon Brooks' flagrant foul on Gary Payton II breaking a code of NBA players not trying to injure a player in a way to threaten his career.

It ended another strong night this series for Morant. He had 34 points and was the Grizzlies' only sign of consistent offense. But with the Grizzlies down 2-1 after losing Game 3, all eyes are on how serious Morant's injury is as he's had a history of leg and knee injuries this season.
