Memphis Grizzlies pick VCU's Vince Williams Jr. in second round of 2022 NBA Draft
The Memphis Grizzlies used their fourth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to select Vince Williams, a guard from VCU.
Williams broke out his junior season and averaged 14.1 points, six rebounds and three assists as a senior. He was one of the A-10's top shooters in his last two seasons.
Of Williams 9.6 field goal attempts his senior season, 5.6 were from 3-point range. He attempted more 3s than 2s in his final two seasons.
"Solid rebounder as a wing ... he can knock shots down," ESPN analyst Jay Bilas said. "Not surprised he's drafted in the second round. Good value pick."
