Memphis Grizzlies score vs. Atlanta Hawks: Live updates

The Memphis Grizzlies are playing some of their best basketball since the middle of January.

Memphis (46-27) has won eight of its last nine games. Its last six losses have come on the road against teams who are better than .500 at home.

The Atlanta Hawks will present a similar challenge on Sunday. Atlanta (36-37) has a 20-15 record at home.

Both the Grizzlies and Hawks are two of the NBA’s top-10 scoring offenses. Atlanta is led by a dynamic backcourt that includes offensive maestro Trae Young and two-way star Dejounte Murray.

Memphis also has one of the NBA’s best backcourts in Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, but the Grizzlies’ offense has been on fire because of it’s ability to dominate on the inside and out. The Grizzlies have scored 130 or more points in three of their last four games.

Luke Kennard made a franchise record 10 3-pointers in Friday’s 151-114 win against the Houston Rockets. His addition combined with Bane has given the Grizzlies one of the NBA’s most lethal shooting combinations.

Morant has come off the bench in his first two games played since returning from an eight-game suspension. While Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said Morant’s current role won’t be permanent, the team has not decided yet when Morant will rejoin the starting lineup.
