Memphis Grizzlies score vs. Atlanta Hawks: live updates

The Memphis Grizzlies are taking advantage of their longest homestand of the season so far. Memphis (17-9) has won four consecutive games, and now its attention turns to the Atlanta Hawks.

When it comes to the Hawks (14-13), everything starts with all-star point guard Trae Young. He has been one of the NBA's premier young talents.

Even though they're in different conferences, it's not surprising when a Young vs. Ja Morant comparison breaks out on debate shows or social media. Their career arcs are similar, including playoff runs in their third seasons, 2022 all-star starters and even having fathers who trained them since they started learning basketball.

Memphis has the benefit of getting two days of rest since its 114-103 win against the Detroit Pistons. Atlanta is coming off a tough overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, so the Hawks are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Ja Morant, Steven Adams and Jake LaRavia are all listed as questionable. The Adams news is encouraging since he left Friday's game early, so it sounds like he avoided a major injury.

The Hawks are without all-star guard Dejounte Murray. He and Young have teamed up to make one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA, but the recent return and hot play of shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic has lessened the blow.

Atlanta won both meetings against Memphis last season.
