Memphis Grizzlies score vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Live updates
The Memphis Grizzlies will finish up their two-game homestand with a matchup against the surging Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday (6:30 p.m., TNT, Bally Sports Southeast).
The Lakers (29-32) are currently seeded 12th in the Western Conference, but have won three straight games, in large part due to trade deadline moves for better shooters and defenders.
The Grizzlies (36-23) are coming off an impressive win against the No. 1-seeded Denver Nuggets. Memphis dominated that matchup, and taking care of business at FedExForum will be a determining factor to Memphis holding onto the No. 2 seed in the West.
L.A. is playing better, but 19-time All-Star and leader LeBron James will not play against the Grizzlies due to a right foot injury. James could miss several weeks, according to multiple reports. That timeline would put his status for the March 7 Grizzlies-Lakers game in jeopardy.

Memphis has a clean injury report with the exclusion of Steven Adams, who remains out. Adams has made significant progress and could be returning soon.
The Grizzlies lost their first meeting against the Lakers this season after leading for most of the game, which was also the night of the now-infamous Shannon Sharpe incident occurred.
Without James, the Lakers will likely play through Anthony Davis. Point guard D'Angelo Russell has also been a big offensive contributor, but he's listed as doubtful due to an ankle injury. Davis is one of the most talented big men in the NBA, but the Grizzlies have options like Jaren Jackson Jr. and Xavier Tillman Sr. to throw at him.
