Ja Morant will miss Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic due to right thigh soreness.

The Memphis Grizzlies are taking the precautionary measure as Morant continues to ramp up playing time after missing games due to suspension. He has played in the last three games. Before Sunday's win against the Atlanta Hawks, Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said that the team wanted to play Morant in the high 20s in minutes. He finished the game playing 29 minutes, which is close to the 32 minutes he averaged before his eight-game suspension.

Morant's absence against the Magic is unlikely to limit his availability on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers, and Jenkins said there are no long-term concerns with Moran't thigh soreness.

The Grizzlies have won nine of their last 10 games. Tyus Jones started at point guard in eight of the nine wins, so his role won't change much. David Roddy and John Konchar are among the players who could be in line for more playing time in Morant's absence.

Desmond Bane will play most of the minutes at backup point guard.
