The Memphis Grizzlies acquired shooting guard Luke Kennard from the L.A. Clippers in a three-team trade that will also send Danny Green to the Houston Rockets, a source confirmed to The Commercial Appeal.

The Grizzlies are sending three second-round draft picks to the Clippers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Green is being traded from Memphis to Houston, which sent shooting guard Eric Gordon to the Clippers. Green had just returned from a torn ACL injury and played three games with the Grizzlies.

Kennard, 26, has been viewed as one of the NBA's most lethal spot-up shooters in his first six seasons. He has shot 42.7% in his career, and he led the NBA by making 44.9% on 3-pointers last season while primarily coming off the bench.

The left-handed former Duke star is in the second year of a four-year deal worth $56 million. He was in and out of the Clippers rotation primarily due to his defensive concerns.

The Grizzlies (33-21) are 24th in the NBA in 3-point percentage. Kennard will team with Desmond Bane to give Memphis two players who have shot better than 40% from 3-point range this season and in their careers.

Kennard was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 12th pick in the 2017 draft. He was traded to the Clippers in November 2020 and signed a contract extension the following month.

Kennard averaged 7.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists for the Clippers this season, shooting 46.4% from the field and 44.7% on 3-pointers.
