Memphis Grizzlies troll Shannon Sharpe on social media after win over Lakers

It wasn't enough that the Memphis Grizzlies used a second-half rally to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday. They also took a friendly shot at noted Lakers fan, new rival and Fox Sports personality Shannon Sharpe.

The Grizzlies' social media team always post memes after a win directed at the team they beat or someone associated with them. For the Lakers' win, they targeted Sharpe since he got into a shouting match with the Grizzlies during their game in Los Angeles in January.

"Big memphis dub. hold dat @Lakers," the Grizzlies posted along with a picture of Sharpe and the letter L - standing for loss - superimposed on his finger.

Six minutes later, Sharpe tweeted a reply laughing along with the picture.

"Y'all just being petty now," Sharpe said, adding several laughing emojis.

The game was the first meeting between the teams since that encounter, a game the Lakers won 122-121. Sharpe got into a shouting match with Dillon Brooks, and it led to security separating the two as Ja Morant and Steven Adams joined in to defend Brooks.

Sharpe later apologized for escalating things. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, went on a spiral as they lost eight of nine games after the incident.

The teams meet again Tuesday in Los Angeles for the final time this season. Who knows if Sharpe will show up but if so, keep an eye on the Grizzlies' social media if the Grizzlies get a win.
