Memphis in May: Megan Thee Stallion added to Beale Street Music Festival lineup

Megan Thee Stallion is joining this year's Beale Street Music Festival lineup as a headliner, Memphis in May announced Monday.

The platinum-selling and Grammy Award-winning artist will make her Beale Street Music Festival debut on April 30 on the ZYN stage.

Other announced additions to the lineup include two-time Grammy-winning reggae artist Shaggy and fellow Jamaican reggae fusion artist Third World, Memphis rapper Duke Deuce and local rockers Tora Tora.

Previously announced performers include: Weezer, Van Morrison, Lil Wayne, The Smashing Pumpkins, Counting Crows, Three 6 Mafia, Sarah McLachlan, Death Cab for Cutie, Stone Temple Pilots and Moneybagg Yo.

Foo Fighters, previously announced as a headliner, have canceled all their planned concert dates following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Rockers Sammy Hagar & The Circle were announced as a headlining act on the opening night of Beale Street Music Festival following the cancelation.

Beale Street Music Festival is set for April 29-May 1 at Liberty Park in Memphis. Memphis in May's usual home, Tom Lee Park, is unavailable due to renovations.

The festival was not held in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Memphis in May also announced the festival's day-by-day lineup Monday.

Beale Street Music Festival is April 29-May 1 at the Fairgrounds in Liberty Park. Tickets are $70 for single-day or $175 for three-day passes, VIP passes are also available. Go to memphisinmay.org.
