Memphis police search for person of interest in Shea Grauer's shooting death

Almost a month after longtime Memphis bartender and former manager at The Beauty Shop Shea Grauer was fatally shot, Memphis Police are looking for a person of interest.

Memphis Police Department on Sunday released a surveillance camera video of a person of interest in Grauer's Feb. 18 death near Lockett Place and South Belvedere Boulevard.

The footage shows an individual wearing a ballcap, jacket, light-colored pants and tennis shoes, said Theresa Carlson, MPD public information officer. Police are working to identify and locate this person.

Carlson said the footage was captured around the time Grauer was killed.

MPD responded to a shooting around midnight Feb. 18 in Midtown where officers found Grauer dead with a gunshot wound.

Police said no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, and this is an ongoing investigation.

Grauer, 55, had been an employee at The Beauty Shop for 18 years, including 17 years as a manager.

About seven months prior to Grauer's death, his brother Beau Grauer was also killed.

On July 24, Memphis police responded to a shooting around 10:30 p.m. on the 600 block of Hawthorne Street and found Beau Grauer dead at the scene, according to a tweet by the department.

Beau Grauer was 50 when he died.

The Kevin Shea Grauer Memorial Fund, a GoFundMe to help support Grauer's family, continues to accept donations.

Funeral services for Grauer will begin at 11 a.m. April 1 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Ave. The Beauty Shop will host a reception and second line following the funeral.
