Gift Wrapping Party at Dover library

DOVER — On Monday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. the Dover Public Library will be hosting a gift wrapping party. Paper, tape, scissors and ribbons will be provided. All you have to bring is your gifts ready to be wrapped in your own boxes. We will play holiday music to enhance the mood. There is no registration for this drop-in event.

Weekly Genealogy Group to meet

DOVER — On Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m., the Genealogy Group will meet at the Dover Public Library. Whether you’re new to genealogical research or a seasoned pro, this group is a great way to meet others who share the same passion, can give you advice in your research, and listen to your newly-discovered family histories. The group is open to the public and not restricted to Dover residents or library card holders.

Virtual discussion with author and LGBTQ+ historian

DOVER — There'll be a Zoom discussion with award-winning author and LGBTQ+ historian Eric Cervini on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Dover Public Library. Cervini will be discussing his book “The Deviant’s War: The Homosexual vs. the United States of America.”

Lunch and Learn session on nutrition

BERWICK, Maine — Berwick For a Lifetime will present a special health and wellness program in collaboration with Wentworth Douglass Hospital, “Lunch and Learn - Hydration and the Importance of Fiber” on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the Berwick Public Library. Winter Toddler Dance Party

NEWMARKET — The Newmarket Public Library will present a Winter Toddler Dance Party featuring musician and performer Mr. Aaron on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. This event is free to the public and requires registration. All kids ages 2 and up and their caregivers are invited to join Mr. Aaron for a wonderfully wintry mix of classic songs and fun original tunes

Mental Health Summit in Dover

DOVER -The second annual Mental Health, Wellness & Recovery in the Workplace Summit, underwritten by Kennebunk Savings and sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Granite United Way, will take place Thursday, Dec. 8 at the McConnell Center Cafeteria in Dover from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The summit is presented by the Seacoast Chamber Alliance, the Dover Mental Health Alliance, and the Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative. Registration is $10 for chamber members and $15 for nonmembers. To register, visit dovernh.org/wellnesssummit.

The Mental Health, Wellness & Recovery in the Workplace Summit is designed to help employers learn about the steps they can take to reduce the stigma around mental health in the workplace. Wreath-making workshop in Eliot

ELIOT, Maine — William Fogg Library in Eliot is hosting a wreath-making workshop on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. The Wreaths Across America is providing simple balsam-wreath kits and the workshop will be held at the historic Fogg House on library grounds. Snacks and drinks will be available. The cost of the kits is $18.50 and all kit proceeds go to the Wreaths Across America. If you want to participate in the workshop, purchase the kits prior to Nov. 23. Call the William Fogg Library at 207-439-9437 to register; no registration is complete without payment—checks can be made payable to the William Fogg Library.
