Mentor Public Library hosts talk during Women's History Month

Mar. 10—In celebration of Women's History Month, Mentor Public Library is hosting a free program about the history women in the US military at 6:30 p.m. March 30 at the library's Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.

Sara Fisher, executive director of the International Women's Air and Space Museum, will explore the contributions of women in the military stretching back to World War II when more than a thousand American women flew as part of the Women Airforce Service Pilots, according to a news release.

Attendees can learn about the trailblazers and the obstacles they faced since World War II. Fisher's talk will

pay particular attention to women in air and space.
