With a little luck of the Irish, Cedar Creek's B's and G's food truck had its first day of business on March 16, first at Cedar Creek Winery and Brew Co. in Martinsville and later in the day at the Sinkhole Craft Beer Bar in Bloomington.

The food truck is the latest addition to the Cedar Creek lineup, which includes a winery, brewery and distillery in Martinsville.

Its Saint Patrick's Kegs and Eggs menu had a green option of Brussels sprouts tossed in a roasted garlic sauce and sprinkled with bacon crumbles; soft pretzel bites served with house-made beer cheese or pimento cheese dip; basket of fries Shamrock style with sidewinder fries covered in house-made sausage gravy and scrambled eggs, topped with shredded cheese and diced green onions; and various smash burger options that included Coney Island chili and pimento or pepperjack cheese and other trimmings. The B's & G's is two fluffy biscuits, split open and smothered in house-made sausage gravy.

While the biscuits and gravy has the same name as the food truck, B's and G's stands for beers and grub. At the Sinkhole, Cedar Creek's Irish Red beer also was available.

Basket o' fries Shamrock style was one of the special items available March 18 at the Cedar Creek B's and G's food truck. Crispy sidewinder fries were covered in house-made sausage gravy and scrambled eggs and topped with shredded cheese and diced onions.

Kelsy Groover, general manager at Cedar Creek, said the company plans to open a tap room at 124 Locus Lane in Nashville in April and the food truck will be located there most days. The Nashville location will have about 18 beers available and may offer wine tastings as well. While the food truck may sometimes be in Martinsville, Cedar Creek Eatery already offers food at the Martinsville winery. The appetizers, entrees, pizza and other food there will not be the same as what the food truck serves, she said.
