Editor's note: This column has been updated to reflect the change in opening of Che Bello.

No reservation for Valentine's Day? Don't worry, plenty of Bloomington restaurants will have tables available for a couple or pair of friends who want to dine out. Dining establishments that may still have times and seats include some of Bloomington's newer restaurants: Vivencia, 2800 E. Buick Cadillac Blvd.; Metal Works Brewing, 108 E. Sixth St.; and Maru Products Bloomington, 120 E. Seventh St. Other established restaurants, including your favorites, may also have a table, so check online or call to check.

Che Bello reopening delayed

The re-opening of Che Bello Italian restaurant won't happen on Valentine's Day or Saturday, Feb. 17, as anticipated. An unforeseen problem has delayed the opening. The restaurant is under new ownership and features dishes created by the former chefs from 21 North in Martinsville.

People will be able to make reservations on OpenTable for a seat at Che Bello, at 106 W. Sixth St. on the downtown square in Bloomington, when it does open.

A new look for Chocolate Moose

Anyone driving or walking past 405 S. Walnut St. can't help but notice the scaffolding that's been up along the front of the building that houses Chocolate Moose. Signs, including one with the Moose wearing a construction hat, let customers know the restaurant best known for its ice cream treats is open.

It's not only the building that's getting a new look, however. The Chocolate Moose website, moosebtown.com, also is sporting a new look with refreshed photos and links as well as FAQs about both the Bloomington and Nashville locations.

While the new look online is up and running, the building won't have the scaffolding removed until mid-March, according to Jordan Davis, director of operations for Chocolate Moose. Davis said anyone who uploads the new app or goes to the website has a chance to get 50% off orders for a limited time if they use the correct code.

Chop Shop Market and Table, at 1915 S. Walnut St., added an express deli counter for customers who want some food on the go. The restaurant's deli sandwiches, available with toasted or non-toasted bread, rotisserie chicken, pizza by the slice, a to-go salad bar and soup are available.

Walleye now available at Culver's

Culver's is offering walleye fish sandwiches and dinners during Lent, which begins Feb. 14. The walleye menu items will be available through March 31, or while supplies last. The Northwoods walleye are hand-battered and fried.

In addition, patrons can order the North Atlantic cod sandwich or dinner, which is available year-round on the Culver's menu. A butterfly jumbo shrimp basket and dinner are other options customers can order. The basket has six pieces of shrimp while the dinner has 10.

Bloomington's Culver's is at 1918 W. Third St.
