Toppers Pizza will open at 212 S. Indiana Ave. on Friday. The pizza chain is one of the fastest growing in the U.S. with 71 restaurants in 21 states. The Bloomington restaurant is the second location in Indiana for Toppers, with the first in Indianapolis near the IUPUI campus.

Toppers will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. and offer take-out and delivery service, as well as online ordering through its app. To celebrate the grand opening, Toppers will offer buy-one, get-one-free pizza (any size) from April 14-23.

In addition to pizza, Toppers' menu features signature wings, both cheese, savory and dessert "stix," and specialty sides of cheese curds and mac and cheese. Its house pizzas include Buffalo Chicken, Ragin’ Pepperoni and Mac ‘N Cheese. Toppers also features “plant-powered” recipes.

"I'm excited about opening our newest Toppers restaurant in Bloomington. It is thrilling to know that the pizza lovers in another city are about to meet their new favorite pizza place,” said CEO Scott Gittrich, who opened his first pizza shop in 1991, in a news release.

Btown Menus and Papa Murphy's are gone, but you still have options

A visit to the Btown Menus website delivers no food, just a message that the service has closed, and the Papa Murphy's storefront in the Southside Kroger plaza is dark.

Not to fear: Driver on Deck offers delivery from area restaurants and food trucks, and there's still DoorDash, GrubHub and Uber Eats. As far as take and bake pizza, Aver's offers take and bake and you can get ingredients to make your own pizza at home from Pizza X. Check with your favorite local pizza place to see what options they offer.
