On the Menu: Trailhead Pizzeria making its way back; Function Brewing changes its name

It takes awhile to come back after shutting down a business for any amount of time. It's something that Trailhead Pizzeria has had to deal with, as have many other restaurants throughout the Bloomington area.

Trailhead Pizzeria reopened after the pandemic on April 23 but hasn't been able to bring back all of the customers' favorites. Starting slowly is the only option not because it's what owner Mark Bell wants but due to lack of supplies and workers. That means one of the pizzeria's signatures pies that once had five types of vegetables only has three right now.

Even so, Trailhead has salads, breadsticks, and pizzas on hand-tossed dough. Specialty pizzas include a supreme, meathead (with pepperoni, sausage and bacon), bonfire (barbecue sauce, sausage, onions and jalapenos), Hickory Ridge (barbecue sauce and pepperoni) and veggie.
