MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Mercer County will offer free COVID-19 testing for three consecutive Tuesdays - Jan. 12, 19 and 26 - from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CURE Insurance Arena, 81 Hamilton Ave.

The saliva test is available to county residents 14 years or older and anyone employed as a first responder or health care worker in Mercer County.

No prescription is necessary. Please avoid eating, drinking, chewing gum or smoking 30 minutes before taking the test.

Mercer County also offers an at-home saliva test for COVID-19, which can be requested by visiting www.mercercares.org. If you need help with the online registration process, assistance will be available Tuesday at the arena.

Meanwhile, the county has vaccinated around 423 healthcare and EMS workers during their COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Hamilton.

Currently, the vaccinations are only available to phase 1A healthcare workers by appointment.

In the coming weeks several local micro clinics across Mercer County will help expedite the vaccination process. The next vaccination clinics will be held in East Windsor on Jan. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Jan. 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
