Mercer County shooting takes life of Blackwood man

HAMILTON – A Gloucester Township man was fatally shot early Wednesday in this Mercer County community.

Matthew Morales, 28, was gunned down shortly after 1 a.m. on the 4900 block of South Broad Street, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Blackwood man was pronounced dead a short time after being taken to an area hospital.

No arrests were announced, and an investigation is ongoing.
