The Merrick hosts Beaver County high school art competition

NEW BRIGHTON – See 48 art pieces created by Beaver County high school students in a free, juried exhibition at the Merrick Art Gallery.

The show runs through April 13. Gallery hours are 1-4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday.

The opening ceremony for the 2023 Beaver County High School Senior Art Competition was held this past Sunday at the New Brighton gallery.

The following students achieved placement awards at the competition.

First Place

Students awarded honorable mention: Nicole Zalenski, Allison Parrish, Delaney Bernard, Emma Wahl, Cain Horvath, Chloe Joslin, Eris Stephens, Brenden Meyers, Abigail Golnick, Laenee McCoy and Georgia Engle.
