Meryl Streep’s Daughter Mamie Gummer Lists Los Angeles Cabin for $1.495 Million

A rustic wooden home in the Hollywood Hills belonging to actor Mamie Gummer is now on the market for $1.495 million. Gummer, who starred alongside her mother, Meryl Streep, in 2015's Ricki and the Flash, has owned the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom Beachwood Canyon cabin for a little over two years.

Described as a “treehouse retreat” in the listing, the 1,964-square-foot dwelling was built in the 1940s and sits high above the street behind wooden walls that give way to a wide wraparound wooden deck and a wood-fronted exterior. Numerous red-framed French windows and a red farmhouse-style front door add charm, and once inside, the home opens onto an open-plan living and dining room with terra-cotta-style ceramic floors and exposed-wood support beams. A wood-burning stove is situated in one corner of the living room, and the dining room is lined with casement windows that flood the space with natural light. The kitchen has copper countertops and an O’keefe and Merritt stove, and the cabinetry is handcrafted from reclaimed wood.

Elsewhere on the ground floor are two bedrooms and two updated bathrooms, each with their own skylight. Spacious and airy, the bedrooms feature whitewashed walls that stand in contrast to built-in wooden shelves. The bathrooms feature a mix of charming, rustic decor—a wooden sink and clawfoot tub, for instance, with a more modern, sleek glass-fronted shower. There is also a second floor loft space which is currently being used as a third bedroom/work space. Out back, the home’s large wraparound deck features an outdoor dining booth area, a built-in wooden bench that surrounds a stone fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen and grilling area. Gummer originally purchased the home from model turned entrepreneur Josie Maran in early 2018 for $1.36 million.
