Meteor Burns Across Missouri Sky in Surveillance Footage

A blazing meteor burned through the Missouri sky on November 11. Joshua Henderson, of Blue Springs, Missouri, captured footage of the meteor on his Nest surveillance camera.

The American Meteor Society said it received more than 120 reports from eight states about a meteor sighting. Reports of the sighting were received around 8:52 pm and came from as far away as Nevada, AMS said.

According to AMS, the meteor traveled from east to west and ended up near Wellsville, Missouri.

Henderson told Storyful that he and his son were watching TV when he saw an article on Facebook about the meteor sighting, prompting him to check his camera for footage. Credit: Joshua Henderson via Storyful
