Meteor Illuminates Predawn Sky in Alberta
A meteor lit up the sky above Calgary, Alberta, in the early hours of February 22, and was captured on the home security cameras of residents in the area.
This video, recorded at around 6.23 am local time, shows a bright fireball briefly streak across the sky, as viewed from a camera belonging to Colin Brown.
Professor Chris Herd, a meteor expert at the University of Alberta, said the fireball was a meteor, and encouraged locals to send in videos showing its descent to the American Meteor Society. Credit: Colin Brown via Storyful
