Meteorologist Chelsea Ingram Has Your Sunday Evening Forecast
CHELSEA INGRAM: Good evening, everyone. I'm meteorologist Chelsea Ingram. We've been tracking a cold front, which has brought severe weather to our region and some storm damage. I'm still sifting through a lot of the reports that are coming in as I interface with the National Weather Service. The line of storms will be passing on through. By later on this evening, things will be quieting down. But the winds are going to be whipping.
71 degrees-- that was the official high temperature today once the warm front really surged that warm air into the region. We're looking at winds right now. It is around 6:11 PM, and they are expected to pick up. This is sustained winds at this current point in time. But we have wind advisory that goes into effect, and it will be in effect through 4 o'clock tomorrow morning. And that is for gusts potentially up to around 45 miles per hour. So it is going to be a very windy night and a windy start to the day tomorrow.
Windy with clearing late. Look for an overnight low temp tonight right around 42 degrees. And then as we head into tomorrow, you can look for a high of 60. It'll be slightly cooler and also brisk, but we'll have plenty of sunshine in the forecast. It is going to be a pleasant day. We'll have more later tonight on WJZ.
