Meth, guns & cash found in Burke County home; two arrested: Sheriff

BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man and woman have been arrested for meth-related charges after “numerous” community complaints, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).

On Friday, February 9, BCSO deputies and Hickory Police say they searched the home at 1400 Sweet Water Drive, a few miles northwest of Morganton. They seized 61 grams of Methamphetamine, 2 guns and cash from the residence.

According to authorities, 46-year-old Brandon Lowdermilk, who lives at the home, was arrested and is charged with four felonies:

  • Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon

  • Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine

  • Felony PWIMSD Methamphetamine

  • Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

Officials say 34-year-old Ashley Parker-Dearstone, who lives elsewhere, was also arrested at the home. She is charged with the following:

  • Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

  • Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  • Misdemeanor Resisting Public Officer

Lowdermilk is under a $150,000 secured bond and Parker-Dearstone is being held under a $20,000 secured bond, authorities say. They are both in custody at the Burked County Jail and were scheduled to appear in court on Monday, February 12.
