Methodist University is adding 5 new online degree programs
Methodist University is adding five new degree programs to its online courses this fall, bringing its total to 22 online degree programs, the Fayetteville school announced.
“The new online graduate programs and undergraduate program will allow students who are unable to complete a face-to-face program due to family, work or military commitments to pursue a fully online program and prepare for successful careers,” Beth Carter, Methodist's vice provost for Online & Extended Learning, said in the statement.
All of Methodist's online courses are taught by the same faculty members who teach on campus, the statement said. In addition, online students have access to a dedicated enrollment counselor to guide them through the process.
The university also added five additional minors.
Degree programs
The new additions, which are pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, consist of one undergraduate and four graduate programs.
They are:
• Bachelor of Science in exercise and sports management
• Master of Education in educational leadership with a specialization in instructional technology
• Master of Criminal Justice
• Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling
• Doctor of Nursing Practice: executive leadership
New minors
In addition to the new degree programs, the university has added five minors to its online courses.
They are:
• Computer information technology
• Criminal justice
• Health care administration
• Psychology
• Social work
