Metro-east softball roundup: Belleville East downs Collinsville, Freeburg beats Salem

The metro-east softball season continued with several games Tuesday.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

Belleville West 2, Alton 1

The Maroons got by the Redbirds with a 1-run victory.

Belleville West improved to 12-17 overall and 5-5 in the SWC while Alton fell to 11-13, 4-7.

Kaylee Asher and Olivia Anderson led the Maroons with 1 hit and 1 RBI a piece. Multiple Redbirds led the way with 2 hits.

Emma Pees pitched a complete game, posting 3 strikeouts.
