All-Metro girls track and field team: Wichita Eagle honors top athletes from 2023 season
The Wichita area featured some of the best high school girls track and field athletes in Kansas this season and that star power is highlighted on The Wichita Eagle’s 2023 All-Metro girls track and field team.
The All-Metro squad consists of the top athletes spread out in all different events and a top coach from Sedgwick, Butler and Harvey counties, based on season-long performance with a heavy emphasis on state finishes.
Andale senior McKenzie Fairchild, who repeated as a three-time state champion and swept the throwing events in Class 4A, was selected Most Outstanding Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year on the All-Metro team.
