Metro identified 2 officers involved in deadly shooting on Eastern Avenue
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The two police officers involved in a deadly shooting on Tuesday morning on Eastern Avenue near Sahara Avenue have been identified.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Officer Joshua Romanski, 37, and Officer Paul Guerrero, 26, both fired their weapons when a man armed with an “edged, bladed weapon” charged at them. The man died.

Both have been employed with Metro since 2022 and are assigned to the East Community Policing Division, South Central Command. Both are on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of the shooting.
