MetroHealth Temporarily Closes Medina Health Center

MEDINA, OH — As Ohio grapples with an unprecedented surge of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, MetroHealth is temporarily closing some facilities to redeploy staff.

Among the facilities being shuttered temporarily is the Medina Health Center, 111 West Reagan Parkway. The staff was redeployed on Monday, the hospital system said in an announcement.

Employees at the closed facilities will be given short-term assignments elsewhere within the health system. Patients who have appointments at closed sites will be referred to other locations for care, or will be offered telehealth options.

The closures will last at least through the end of the year, MetroHealth said.

Here are the other facilities being temporarily closed:

  • Brooklyn Health Center (5208 Memphis Ave.)

  • Brunswick Health Center (1299 Industrial Parkway North)

  • Lyndhurst Health Center (29001 Cedar Road)

  • Medina Health Center (111 West Reagan Parkway)

  • Rocky River Medical Offices (20575 Center Ridge Road)

  • State Road Family Practice (12744 State Road, North Royalton)

  • Main Campus Behavioral Health – Adult and Child (converting to telehealth)

Cuyahoga County is now in the top 20 of Ohio counties for most COVID-19 spread and could soon be classified as "purple," by the state health department.
