MetroParks rangers seek public’s help identifying woman pulled from Great Miami River this week
Two days after the body of a woman was pulled from the Great Miami River near Miamisburg, rangers are asking for the public’s assistance in formally identifying the body.

A youth rowing team found the body of a woman in the Great Miami River near Rice Park Wednesday morning, prompting a full water rescue response by area fire crews.
After two days of investigating, MetroParks Rangers are now asking for assistance in identifying the woman recovered.
“Due to the amount of time her body was in the water, her age, race and ethnicity cannot be determined,” a MetroParks spokesperson said in a media release Friday.

The woman appears to be an adult, around 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds with short, dark, curly hair, the spokesperson said.
One of the distinguishing marks found on the woman was a tattoo on the top of her left hand that said “Jay.”
