Mets vs. Phillies Friday game postponed due to impending rain; Here's when it will be played

PHILADELPHIA — The Mets will have another day to relive the magic of Thursday's unbelievable comeback victory after Friday night's game against the Phillies was rained out.

Friday's game will be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader on Aug. 20. That doubleheader will begin at 1:05 p.m. and continue with the originally-scheduled game at 7:15 p.m.

The schedule makers were in a bind with rain expected to continue on Saturday and the Phillies set to head out to Seattle for a three-game series beginning on Monday.

The teams' three-game series Aug. 19-21 is the last time the Mets will travel to Philadelphia this season.

Max Scherzer was scheduled to pitch against the Phillies' Kyle Gibson in Friday's game.
