Jan. 24—DALLAS — U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser this week announced that he has added Mike Marabell to his 9th Congressional District team.

Meuser, R-Dallas, said Marabell will cover the northern tier of the newly expanded 9th Congressional District.

Marabell will serve as the field director based out of the recently opened Tunkhannock district office.

"Mike will be a valuable asset who will make sure the voices and needs of all people in the Northern Tier are heard and met," Meuser said.

Marabell is an Army veteran and lifelong resident of Wyoming County. He and his wife, Diana, have two children, Nicholas, and Paige.

Marabell started with Meuser after a long career with Frontier Communications.

"I spent the past 25 years traveling the roads of Wyoming, Susquehanna, Bradford, and Sullivan counties, and I know the area's people very well," Marabell said. "This will help me provide great services in the district."

Marabell is the former head football coach of Tunkhannock Area High School. His community service includes the Kiwanis Club, Tunkhannock Little League, Tunkhannock Gridiron Club and Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock.

Pennsylvania's 9th Congressional District includes Bradford, Susquehanna, Wyoming, Sullivan, Schuylkill, Montour, Columbia, Northumberland, and Lebanon counties, as well as parts of Luzerne, Lycoming, and Berks counties.

The Tunkhannock office is at 511 Mile Road, Tunkhannock.
