Mexico City Rocked by 7.4 Magnitude Earthquake

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake jolted southern Mexico on June 23 killing at least four people, damaging buildings and infrastructure, and sparking a tsunami alert, Mexican authorities confirmed.

This footage, shot by Andalusia Soloff in Mexico City’s Colonia Obrera neighbourhood, shows power poles and trees swaying as onlookers gather on the street. Distant explosions can also be heard intermittently.
