Mexico opens country's first trans clinic

The "Comprehensive Health Unit for Trans People,'' will provide patients with ''stigma-free'' sexual and mental health services, as well as treatments that focus specifically on LGBTQI+ people's needs.

The construction of the clinic, which will be managed by trans people only, began in Sept. 2020 with an investment of 18 million pesos ($880,156 dollars).

It has six departments (two for general medicine, one for gynaecology, one for urology, one for psychiatry and one for endocrinology), sampling and ultrasound areas, a pharmacy, a nursing room, among other areas.
