New Mexico State sophomore Aidan Thomas finished in a three-way tie for 36th place at the NCAA Men's Golf Bryan Regional, officially ending the Aggies' golf season.

Thomas shot a +5 221 over the three-day tournament in Bryan, Texas, hosted by Texas A&M, and tied with Tennessee's Bryce Lewis and A&M's Phichaksn Maichon. He was the only NMSU men's golfer to advance to the regional round after finishing fifth at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament nearly three weeks ago.

Thomas gained eight spots after each day of the regional round. The First Team All-WAC sophomore finished the first day tied for 52nd with a +4 76, the second day tied for 44th with a +1 73 and the final day tied for 36th with an even 72. He birdied three times on the final nine holes Wednesday.

Thomas won the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate Tournament in September 2021 in Albuquerque earlier this season and was the only NMSU team member to finish in the top five at the conference meet.
